I'm 30
My birthday extravaganza yesterday was quite wonderful. Both Prince E and I took off work, so it was a day dedicated solely to celebration!! Prince E woke me up at 5:00 a.m. by saying "IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY" and then singing. It was nice, except I had a little trouble falling back asleep, especially because Jiblets had to keep coming in the room to tell me "Happy Birthday!" too.
I had Steak and Shake at 10:30 a.m. (although I had neither steak nor a shake). Prince E drew me a card on his place mat. (we always take the crayons that are meant for kids and color on our place mats). After eating, we headed to Gameworks. An arcade is a lot more fun when it is almost completely empty. It was fairly quiet, we didn't have to wait for any of the games and I could try out dance, dance, revolution without be mocked by 12 year olds. We were pretty good once we realized that you were supposed to step when the arrow hit the top.
After turning in my tickets and getting a good assortment of crap (whoopie cushion, candy, etc.), we went to Toys R Us. We looked at the Wii games, but didn't find any to our liking. Prince E ended up buying me Phoenix Wright, Attorney for the DS. I have played it some and it is really cheesy, in a funny way. I just have to suspend reality to enjoy, it otherwise I would constantly be saying, "That is not how court procedure works!" over and over.
Then we came home and relaxed for a few hours. Yesterday was the hottest day of the year and was also extremely windy. So much so that the kitties could not go out on the balcony for fear they would blow away.
Later we headed to dinner. It was so delicious. I had a Mango tini to go with my Lemon Pepper Chicken. The mashed potatoes were so yummy. When we first sat down, the waitress asked if it was a special occasion. I said it was my birthday. She joked that she would have to bring in the cavalry to sing. I said if she did that I would have to leave (I would be too embarrassed!). After our dishes were cleared, we waited awhile for her to come with the dessert tray. We thought she had forgotten about us. Then she came over with the a piece of cake with a candle in it! She said no singing, just cake. YAY! It was so good and I even managed to let Prince E have some.
After dinner, we watched So You Think You Can Dance and I received a birthday reward of that annoying Olivia girl being kicked off. She whined too much.
All in all, a wonderful birthday.
Oh, and the presents in the photos that I posted previously was a Garmin Forerunner 305 and footpod. Yay!!

You guys are so cool - we used to do that quite a bit, too. Sounds like a fun day!
